Accredition Process:
The National Association of Private and Independent Educators (NAPIE) is committed to advancing school excellence through a rigorous and credible accreditation process. We believe in voluntary peer recognition, where institutions with shared goals and unique characteristics collaborate to uphold and achieve high standards of academic excellence and accountability to their communities and the nation.
NAPIE aims to enhance and support independent accrediting bodies that serve private early childhood, elementary, and secondary schools dedicated to providing quality educational programs.
1. Application Submission: Schools interested in accreditation submit an application to NAPIE, providing detailed information about their educational programs, policies, and practices.
2. Self-Study Evaluation: The school conducts a thorough self-study evaluation, assessing its strengths, areas for improvement, and alignment with NAPIE's accreditation standards.
3. On-Site Visit: NAPIE appoints a team of experienced educators and administrators to conduct an on-site visit to the school. They review documentation, observe classes, and interview staff, students, and parents to assess compliance with accreditation standards.
4. Evaluation Report: Following the on-site visit, the accreditation team prepares a detailed evaluation report highlighting findings and recommendations.
5. Accreditation Decision: Based on the evaluation report and the school's adherence to standards, NAPIE makes an accreditation decision. Accredited schools receive formal recognition and are encouraged to maintain ongoing compliance through periodic reviews and updates.
